Master System Prompt Template¶
Your master system prompt is the single instruction set prepended to every AI interaction for your book. It combines your voice guide, audience profiles, density standards, and kill list into one file that the AI reads before generating anything.
This is the most important prompt in your system. Get this right and the outputs are 80% there. Get it wrong and you're editing every sentence.
How to Use: 1. Fill in from your completed voice guide, audience empathy guide, and gold standard reference 2. Prepend this to every AI conversation about your book (or embed it in a Claude Code skill / custom GPT) 3. Update it as your voice system evolves -- this is a living document 4. Keep it under 1,500 words; AI attention degrades on longer system prompts
