Guide: Rolling Out AI Fluency Training Across Your Organization¶

What You'll Build¶
A structured AI fluency program that produces measurable outcomes, not training certificates. You will have executive sponsorship, a pilot cohort, a 90-day plan with weekly milestones, measurement baselines, and a multiplication model that scales training without proportionally scaling cost.

- Executive sponsor willing to champion the program (VP level or above)
- Budget for AI tool licenses for the pilot cohort
- 20--50 volunteers across at least three functional areas

Step 1: Build the Business Case and Get Buy-In¶

Step 2: Select Your Pilot Cohort¶

Weeks 2--3: Assign daily tasks where failure costs nothing: email drafting, meeting summaries, document synthesis, brainstorming. Build muscle memory without performance pressure.
Week 4: Launch recurring weekly office hours for questions without judgment. Ground troops share what works across participants. Collect and share early wins.
Step 4: Execute Phase 2 --- Integration (Days 31--60)¶
The second month embeds AI into daily workflows by function.
Weeks 5--6: Assign domain-specific tasks: - Engineering: Code review assistance, test generation, documentation - Finance: Data analysis, forecasting, report generation - Customer service: Response drafting, ticket categorization, knowledge base updates - Marketing: Content creation, brand messaging, competitive analysis - Operations: Process documentation, workflow optimization, anomaly detection

Weeks 7--8: Participants build personal prompt libraries --- save what works, share across teams. Weeks 11--12: The final test of fluency: can you teach it? Pair each participant with 2--3 colleagues who will join the next cohort.
